Quetta (Dunya News) – The fourth three-day polio campaign of the year in 185 union councils have completed while more than 100 parents refused to get their children vaccinated. The Health Department issued show-cause notifications to as many as two officials for poor performance.
According to the department, the officials would try to convince the parents on Thursday who refused to get their children vaccinated. However, if they do not comply then under the government intervention rules, arrests would be made.
As many as two polio workers including health nutrition supervisor Firdous Ijaz and Dr Asad Khan have been suspended and issued show-cause notices for not shouldering their responsibilities properly.
