SRINAGAR: Two policemen were killed in a militant attack outside a court complex in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
A Special Police Officer and personnel of the J&K police were killed in the attack on a vehicle that was carrying lunch for cops who were on duty at the district court. The Army and police cordoned off the area.
Earlier, a policeman was injured in a knife attack by a suspected militant at Pampore in Pulwama district. The assailant also tried to snatch his service rifle. But he was overpowered by other cops and taken into custody. A police spokesman said the injured cop is battling for his life at a hospital in Srinagar.
