WhatsApp keep on rolling out new features on and off. The messaging sharing company has habit of testing new feature on its Beta version before releasing them publicly. WhatsApp to Introduce In App YouTube Playback for Videos Soon.
As we all know that WhatsApp don’t support in app playback for YouTube videos. If you want to see videos from YouTube, Users have to go outside WhatsApp by tapping the links sent to them by their friends.
WhatsApp to Introduce In App Youtube Playback for Videos Soon
To save users time, WhatsApp team is testing new In App YouTube playback function. This In App YouTube function will let users to play videos of YouTube shared links within the Application.
The support for YouTube video playback is discovered by WABetaInfo. This feature is not available ti the public as it is currently in testing phase.
According to WABetaInfo report, this feature will let users to play videos from YouTube in picture-in-picture mode. Users can resize window with a pinch or can play videos in full screen mode. This will save time of clicking the link and then directing to YouTube.
This feature is currently in process internally and is expected to be launched for people having big screens. It is available for iPhone Beta testers.
We can expect that WhatsApp will launch this feature soon unless they find any problem with the new feature. As playing YouTube videos outside the app has been an annoyance for so long, we will eagerly wait to see the feature roll out widely. Its very initial to comment whether the feature would come for Android or iOS as WhatsApp has not given any official statement regarding it.
