South Africa’s Pakistan-born leg-spinner Imran Tahir paid tribute to the late Junaid Jamshed during the second T20I against Sri Lanka on Sunday.
The 52-year-old singer-turned evangelist passed away on December 7 last year in a tragic air crash that also claimed the lives of 47 others.
Tahir, who was born in Lahore, celebrated his sole wicket in the match in his trademark style, only this time he also lifted his shirt to show a picture of Junaid, which was printed on his undershirt.
South Africa went on to lose the match by three wickets, which levelled the three match 1-1, with one more to play.
