Pakistani veteran batsman and Multan Sultan’s captain, Shoaib Malik, has become the first Pakistani to reach 300 T20 matches.
Malik managed to achieve the feat in a Pakistan Super League (PSL) game against Quetta Gladiators, which was played at Dubai Cricket Stadium.
In a T20 career spanning 13-years, Malik has played for 15 different teams including Pakistan’s national team and various domestic teams in England, Bangladesh and West Indies.
Out of those 300 games, Malik led different teams 97 times and managed to win 69% of those games.
So far, the 36-year-old has led the following teams:
- Comilla Victorians,
- Karachi Kings,
- Multan Sultans,
- Pakistan National Team,
- Pakistan International Airlines,
- Sialkot Region,
- Sialkot Stallions.
In his 300 games, Malik has managed to score 7653 runs, making him the top-scorer in the shortest format in the world. He has an average of 37.51 with a strike-rate of 124.19.
