LAHORE: The city stayed a center point of political exercises on Sunday pointed toward forestalling the disintegration of the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa congregations as Top state leader Shehbaz Sharif, previous president Asif Zardari and ex-head Chaudhry Shujaat met each other independently to find an exit from the ‘mess’ brought about by PTI Director Imran Khan’s declaration that the two lawmaking bodies would be broken up on Friday.
Earlier in the day, PM Shehbaz reportedly paid a visit to Chaudhry Shujaat and discussed the possibility of relaunching efforts to woo back Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi by offering him to continue as CM with the support of the PML-N and PPP after leaving PTI, Mr. Elahi’s partner in the coalition that runs Punjab.

On the off chance that the ‘carrot’ strategy falls flat, then, at that point, Mr Shujaat ought to capitalize on his leverage on his party’s (PML-Q) 10 MPAs to ban them from deciding in favor of Mr Elahi if and when the lead representative requests that he take a demonstration of positive support, sources conscious of the improvement say.
Following that, Mr. Zardari paid PM Shehbaz a visit at his Model Town residence to talk about the outcomes of his meeting with Chaudhry Shujaat.

Additionally, both sides discussed various options for preventing the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly with them. Mr. Zardari then left to meet the PML-Q president, bringing with him additional options.
Dawn was informed by a senior PML-N leader that Mr. Zardari offered Mr. Elahi a new option: resign as chief minister to render the signed summary he had given to Imran Khan for the assembly’s dissolution useless and pointless.
He added that this “surprise” measure would also guarantee that the assembly would remain intact at least until a new chief minister is elected, adding that Mr. Elahi or a person of his choice might once more be offered the coveted position.
He said that both options would be used simultaneously when asked whether the PML-N would prefer to first move a no-confidence motion against Mr. Elahi or instruct the governor to ask the chief minister for a vote of confidence in the event that the seasoned politician from Gujrat did not accept the “carrot.”
He explained that they would also file a no-trust motion against the CM (along with the speaker and deputy speaker) to strip him of the power to dissolve the assembly because the Constitution does not explicitly prohibit a prime minister or chief minister from doing so in the case of a vote of confidence.
Parvez Elahi revealed in a television interview that his relations with Chaudhry Shujaat were improving and that they had offered the last Friday prayers together, indicating that internal divisions in the Chaudhry family of Gujrat are decreasing.
According to Chaudhry Shujaat’s son, Federal Minister Salik Hussain, the PDM may accept Parvez Elahi into its ranks if the latter “reforms” himself.
He urged the chief minister to oppose “the ungrateful” in a statement.
Mr Salik saw the valuable chance to welcome Mr Elahi after the last option sent off an outburst against PTI head, advising him to quit censuring the previous armed force boss since he was a sponsor not of the PML-Q alone but rather the PTI and Imran Khan specifically.
He said, referring to the growing tensions between the PMLQ and PTI, ” This was inescapable. The PDM may accept Parvez Elahi if he makes amends for his actions.
He stated, “In addition to Parvez Elahi and Imran Khan, Gen. Bajwa was also our benefactor.”
