ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Friday rejected as‘ completely untenable’and‘ reckless’ statement by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on the outgrowth of unanimously espoused judgments at the lately held session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s Council of Foreign Ministers (OIC-CFM).
The OIC-CFM in its Islamabad session supported Pakistan’s call for a common inquiry to establish the data girding the recent blasting of a bullet into Pakistan’s home from India. The OIC in a resolution also prompted India to “ work constructively with Pakistan for enhancing indigenous security and stability through the agreement of outstanding controversies and appreciatively responding to Pakistan’s offer for a Strategic Restraint Regime, including measures for arms control, restraint and confidence structure”.
The FO spokesperson, in a statement, noted the OIC was a collaborative voice of the Muslim Ummah and the second largest transnational organisation after the United Nations, with 57 members and six bystander countries. “ The OIC has a longstanding principled position in support of the licit struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to tone- determination granted to them by the applicable judgments of the UN Security Council. While refusing to apply the UNSC judgments, India has for decades tried to suppress the voice of the Kashmiris through brutal and magpie use of force and gross and methodical violations of mortal rights in the Indian Immorally Enthralled Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK),” the statement added.
Besides, the FO refocused out, the ascendant BJP-RSS- inspired “ Hindutva” testament confined the space for religious nonages in India, especially Muslims whose persecution under state patronage has come a norm in moment’s India. “ The OIC has consequently condemned massive mortal rights abuses in IIOJK, and has formerly again forcefully rejected India’s illegal and unilateral conduct of August 5, 2019 and posterior way aimed at altering the demographic composition of the engaged home,” the FO spokesperson explained.
He said the OIC had denounced the blatant and wide demarcation, dogmatism and violence against Muslims in India, and called upon India to insure their rights, including religious freedom.
Still, replying to the OIC judgments and statements, the Indian MEA said the references made to India were grounded on‘ lies and misrepresentation’. “ The statements and judgments espoused at the meeting demonstrate both the impertinence of the OIC as a body and part of Pakistan as its manipulator,” MEA prophet Arindam Bagchi said.
According to The Times of India on Thursday, he also advised all the nations and governments that associated themselves with similar exercises to realise the impact it had on their “ character”.
Opining on the India’s response, the FO spokesperson said “ Devoid of any sense or substance, the MEA statement reflects the frustration of a country that stands exposed and insulated. Rather of denying the literal data and realities, trying to mislead the transnational community through fictional claims over the disputed home, and dismissing valid enterprises as reflected in the OIC judgments, India would be well- advised to pay heed, review its current geste, and act responsibly to urgently address those enterprises.”
