Cristiano Ronaldo, an international football superstar, is said to have given Jorge Mendes, his previous agent, an ultimatum to bring him to either Bayern Munich or Chelsea.
According to a shocking assertion made by El Mundo, the Portuguese international made the demand in the summer of 2017.
Ronaldo allegedly told Mendes, “Either you get me Chelsea or Bayern, or we break up.”
After Ronaldo gave an explosive interview to Piers Morgan on Talk TV in which he criticized the team and Ten Hag, United and Portugal mutually agreed to terminate Ronaldo’s contract two days before Portugal’s FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign began.
Ronaldo asserted that Ten Hag does not treat him with respect and that club members had “betrayed” him by trying to force him out.
In response to Ronaldo’s request, Mendes, who has been named Best Agent of the Year at the Globe Soccer Awards ten times, from 2010 to 2020, did get in touch with Bayern and Chelsea to see if they were interested in hiring his client.
However, Ronaldo and his agent were at odds when the two major clubs turned down the offer.
However, not everything went as planned between the two. They were very close friends. Since Ronaldo was a teenager, Mendes had managed his career. In point of fact, Ronaldo appointed Mendes to the role of godfather for one of his children.
At the time, it was said that Mendes ended things because he decided he could no longer handle Ronaldo’s demands.
“I will never be able to say enough good things about Jorge for my family. Dolores dos Santos Aveiro, Ronaldo’s mother, once stated, “He was a friend who became something more, part of my family.”
In the meantime, Cristiano made a deal to join Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr in a deal that is thought to be worth more than 200 million euros.
The 37-year-old signed a deal that keeps him in the game until June 2025.
When he led the Riyadh All-Stars, which included Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal players, against Lionel Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain, he made his debut in the Saudi Arabian league.
The Saudi Arabian team suffered a thrilling defeat by 4-5 despite the former Real Madrid player scoring twice.
