SAN FRANCISCO: A greater part of representatives at a US Apple store have casted a ballot to frame an association, a first for the tech monster, which has so far attempted to deter unionizing endeavors.
Of the 110 workers at the Towson, Maryland shop, 65 casted a ballot in favor and 33 against, as per a live count broadcast on Saturday by the government organization supervising the vote.
The vote comes after a gathering of workers called Apple CORE lobbied for unionization.
“We did it Towson! We won our association vote! On account of all who really buckled down and all who upheld! Presently we celebrate… Tomorrow we continue to sort out,” Apple CORE tweeted. They are requesting a say in settling on wages, hours and wellbeing measures.
