Keeping in view the prevailing scope and potential of e-Commerce, the giant of eCommerce across the world, Alibaba’s officials have planned to visit Pakistan. This visit will be second by the Alibaba officials in Pakistan as last month also a top-level delegates came to Pakistan. It is evident that Alibaba is keen to invest in Pakistan. This visit will definitely bring significant results for Pakistani economy.
President & Director of Alibaba, Mr. Michael Evans will lead this delegation. He will be meeting higher officials in Pakistan which include:
- PM Mian Nawaz Sharif
- Mr. Khurram Dastagir Khan, commerce Minister,
- Ms. Anusha Rehman, Minister for IT and Telecom
And some other government officials too.
Alibaba Group showed interest in Pakistan few months back when PM Nawaz Sharif met the Chairman, Jack Ma at World Economic Forum.
The exact details and purpose of the visit will be revealed once the Alibaba officials met with the concerned persons in Pakistan. But it is expected and found on some technology websites that Alibaba will invest around $400 million in different sectors of Pakistan.
