In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference has hoped that anticipated dialogue process between Pakistan and India will not confine to issues relating to situation at the Line of Control and terrorism, rather Kashmir dispute will come under discussion on priority.
The APHC at its Executive Council meeting, which was presided over by its Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in Srinagar, today, demanded the participation of the true representatives of the people of Kashmir in the said dialogue to give credence to the process.
They said that Kashmir was a political dispute and Pakistan and India should agree on a timeframe for its settlement as per the aspirations of the Kashmiris.
The APHC made it clear that the dispute had nothing to do with the election politics in Pakistan or India, because thousands of Kashmiris had sacrificed their lives not for election but for their inalienable right to self-determination.
