Emirates is all set to launch its flagship Airbus 380 service for Dubai-Islamabad Route starting July 2018, we have confirmed with sources.
According to details, after the inauguration of New Islamabad Airport, the facility is now capable of handling world’s largest aircraft, the Airbus 380.
For those who don’t know, Airbus 380 requires special runway as well as other ground equipment for handling. Not all airports in the world support the double-deck aircraft and Islamabad Airport is the only destination in Pakistan that can host the Airbus A380.
Sources in Civil Aviation confirmed ProPakistani that Emirates is preparing for the A380 service for its very lucrative Islamabad-Dubai route starting from July 2018
It won’t be a one-off thing, as is the case for various destinations, instead, a regular A380 service will have at least one daily flight between Dubai and Islamabad.
After Emirate’s A380 launch for Islamabad, it is anticipated that other airlines — including Etihad, Qatar, Thai — will also start the A380 service for Islamabad.
