Million of Christians all over the world including Pakistan are celebrating their Easter Festival with zeal and enthusiasm today (Sunday) to mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ (AS).
The Christians living in Pakistan have decorated their homes and places of worship to celebrate Easter with religious fervor, while special prayers would be arranged in churches.
Later, they would congratulate their brothers and would cut cakes and distribute gifts.
Special prayers would be organized for the progress, prosperity and security of Pakistan.
Police and law enforcing agencies have taken fool-proof security measures, while personnel have also been deployed outside religious places.
The government of Pakistan has wished a joyous and happy Easter to the Christian community within Pakistan and all around the world.
Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has extended greetings to the Christians in Pakistan and the world over on the eve of Easter, being celebrated on Sunday.
In his felicitation message, the PPP Chairman said that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal rights to every Pakistani citizen, whether Muslim or non-Muslim, and they can freely observe and celebrate their religious and spiritual festivals without any fear.
