Cell phone services, which were suspended in Karachi and some other cities of the country on Friday over 12th Rabiul Awwal security concerns, were resumed at 8pm.
The services were suspended in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas and Quetta for the security of processions organised to celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi.
The Sindh government had approached the interior ministry, requesting for the suspension of cellphone and internet services.
The development came in light of the Khairpur clash that took place on Thursday. At least four people were killed and 10 injured when two groups clashed during an Eid Miladun Nabi procession.
Three people were said to be critically injured in the firing incident. Police and Rangers reached the site to douse the situation.
