Another important event of regional importance will take place in Azerbaijan today.
The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Pakistan, Elmar Mammadyarov, Mevlut Cavusoglu and Khawaja Muhammad Asif, will hold the first trilateral meeting.

There are a number of trilateral cooperation formats in the region, such as Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey, Azerbaijan-Turkey-Iran and Turkey-Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan and Turkey are the key states in all those formats.
Azerbaijan’s foreign policy is aimed at close economic and political cooperation with all countries. Azerbaijan and Turkey are connected by not only the cultural community, but also important joint energy projects.
Baku and Ankara were able to use their potential both for their own development and for close cooperation in the interests of the region.
Today, thanks to the cooperation of Azerbaijan and Turkey, both these two fraternal countries and the entire region are developing, except for Armenia, which is a hostage to its occupation policy.
Azerbaijan, thanks to its successful domestic and foreign policy, has turned into an active political player, which also occupies an appropriate place in the Islamic world.
The first trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Pakistan will lay the foundation for a new trilateral cooperation format among the countries
