NEWS DESK: Times of India told Indians about 10 things they can learn from Pakistanis. This is what the website said:
- Minorities are treated better
Surprisingly, in Pakistan minorities are treated better. No, Hindus aren’t called terrorists and Sikhs who live in Pakistan don’t have a grudge against the Islamic religion. It’s unbelievable how many myths we have about Pakistan and it’s too saddening that we actually believe random crap that is being said about Pakistan.
- Fourth smartest people in the world
We make fun of the Pakistani cricketers while they are being asked about the match summary for they don’t have such a strong command over the English language, but did you know that they are the fourth smartest people in the world? And that’s not all – according to a poll organised by the Institute of European Business Administration, from 125 countries, Pakistanis have been ranked the fourth most intelligent people across the globe. Pakistan has the seventh largest collection of scientists and engineers.
- Literacy growth rate
Why are they the fourth smartest individuals in the world? It’s because in the last five years, Pakistan’s literacy rate has grown by 250%, the largest increase in any country to date. We all know that the primary root cause of all economic and social problems is low education in the nation. The moment the literacy rate grows, I’m sure not just economic problems but even the crime rate will come down drastically.
- Top national anthem tune of the world
Thanks to the game that Indians worship, we are familiar with the Pakistani national anthem, which is surprisingly quite similar to ours, if you listen carefully. Inspiring, motivational and beautiful poetry makes Pakistan’s national anthem the number one ranked tune in the world. Now what India needs to learn is that Pakistan also holds the record of most people singing the anthem, simultaneously. And I remember watching a couple of videos wherein people could hardly get through the first line. Shameful, isn’t it?
- Amazing music
Accept it or not but the beautiful Sufi music that we Indians sway and hum to are originally from Islamic country Pakistan. And that’s not all, even the ever famous musical show Coke Studio on MTV has been adopted by us from Pakistan. You must listen to the original Coke Studio from Pakistan, it’s just too beautiful to even describe. The best thing about the show is that it isn’t as commercialized as India and they actually feature budding artists instead of popular and renowned singers and musicians.
- Pakistani TV shows
Now this is something that Indian TV shows must get inspired from. Unlike our shows they don’t go on and on forever, and have a start with a definite end. Their actors’ faces aren’t covered with gaudy make-up all the time and the storylines are based on real social issues and not saas-bahu fights and conspiracies. It goes without saying that the title tracks of there are just amazing and they definitely don’t have dramatic music or movie songs playing in the background. Their expressions do the talking.
- The world’s largest manmade forest
Here we are in India, trying to make the tallest buildings and highways and bungalows that’ll blow everyone’s minds, promoting deforestation, but Pakistan has the world’s largest manmade forest. Believe it or not, Changa Manga is one of the largest man-planned and man-grown forests in the world. It covers the area of approximately 12,000 acres. Yes, that’s an actual number.
- Youngest civil judge in the world belongs to Pakistan
Yes, we do have several child prodigies in the country but no one makes it as big as this one. Pakistan’s Muhammad Ilyas passed the examination enabling him to become a civil judge in July 1952 at the age of 20 years 9 months, although formalities such as medicals meant that it was not until eight months later that he started work as a civil judge in Lahore, Pakistan.
- The world’s largest ambulance network
With death toll just rising at a rapid pace, we must learn how Pakistan’s NGOs operate and how the health sector works. Edhi Foundation is Pakistan’s largest non-profit social welfare program. It runs the world’s largest ambulance network in Pakistan. Now that’s something that we Indians must really look up to and get inspired for it will help us aiding and saving lives better.
- Women safety
Obviously women are not safe in the India and our rape stats reveal the dirty side of the nation. On the other hand, Pakistan is quite good in terms of women safety. In fact they have a lot of activities that promote and highlight women liberation and men act as a safeguard to their women. It’s just a myth that all Islamic countries are brutal towards women, for Pakistan is definitely not one of them. So before you comment on the plight of women in Pakistan, do get your facts correct.
Now, if you ever hear someone talk about how weak Pakistan is as a country just give a some of this gyaan and tell them that Indo-Pak are not just neighbours but brothers from different mothers, concluded India Times.
