For empower people all over the world to stay connected, Facebook has launched its Messenger Lite app. According to company, Facebook Messenger Lite App Launches in 132 New Countries. The app is under 10 MB and very fast to install and start. This app will do the same as the Messenger app does. Users can send and receive msgs and links etc.
More than 1 billion people around the world use Messenger every month. With Messenger Lite, more people can stay in contact, regardless of network conditions or storage limitations on their Android devices. Messenger Lite was built to give people a great Messenger experience, no matter what technology they use or have access to.
Facebook said in a blog post:
Messenger Lite is under 10MB, so it’s fast to install and quick to start up. It includes Messenger’s core experiences such as messaging, sending and receiving photos and links, and receiving stickers. Messenger Lite uses the same bolt logo as Messenger, but with colors reversed. The bolt is blue with a white chat bubble background.
This app is especially designed for those, who don’t have much space in their phones. With Facebook Messenger Lite, users can quickly send and receive messages and links. However, this app is currently available for android users only. iOS users have to wait more to get this lighter version of Facebook Messenger.
Recently, Facebook Messenger has launched its AI Assistant “M”. It will Offer Chat Suggestions in messenger. No doubt, it is a good step taken by Facebook. Facebook AI assistant, M uses machine learning techniques to offer suggestions in conversations.
Unlike Google Assistant, it will pop up in conversions, if you discuss anything about mentioned above. For some users, it may be a disturbance.
