RISALPUR: British Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen John Hillier on Friday acknowledged and lauded the role of Pakistan Air Force in fighting terrorism in the country.
He was addressing the passing-out parade of the participants of 118 combat course of Pakistan Air Force at PAF Asghar Khan Academy in Risalpur as chief guest.
Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Hillier said that the PAF played a commendable role in rooting out terrorists and their hideouts in the country.
“The PAF deserves praise for its efforts and successes in the war on terror,” he said, adding that the PAF and British Royal Air Force are cooperating with each other to deliver airpower and achieve better professionalism.
Pakistan Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, addressing the ceremony, said that the PAF is committed to eliminating the menace of terrorism from the country.
“The Pakistan Air Force accepted all challenges and achieved success. It will [continue to] deliver on the nation’s expectations,” he pledged.
Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman urged the graduates to focus on achieving a high level of professionalism and come up to the expectations the nation has attached with them.
The PAF Chief further said that Pakistan and the United Kingdom enjoy cordial relations and presence of Sir Stephen John Hillier is a testimony of this fact.
A total of 43 cadets, including nine women, passed out the course.
