Ever felt like the day’s work is keeping you from your well-deserved beauty sleep? For nights like these, we love mixing up a quick facial to help us relax before bed. In general, humans have an average of up 40 layers of skin that trap dirt and bacteria from our daily activities. In order to get the most out of your #bamboobeautysleep, we suggest taking some time off this weekend to pamper your skin before bed with any one of these easy homemade recipes.
#1. Oats & Honey Face Mask (All Skin Types)
– 2 Teaspoons Oats
– 2 Teaspoons Honey
Mix oats and honey, leave the mixture to rest for 5 minutes until the oats soften. Then, mash the oats and mix well before applying an even layer on your face. Leave the mask on overnight as it will work to replenish moisture and repair your skin from damage done by daily exposure to free radicals while you sleep.
* Note : Cover your pillow with a towel as the mixture might get on your sheets during the night.
#2. Lemon & Milk Cream Face Mask (Dry – Normal Skin)
– 1 Teaspoon Dairy Cream
– 1/4 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
Mix cream and lemon juice well before applying an even layer of the mixture on your face. Leave the mask on overnight and wash it off with warm water the next morning. As cream contains natural fatty acids, it helps to deeply moisturize your skin while the lemon juice helps to tone and lighten your complexion, as well as aid in fading minor facial scars if used regularly.
#3. Milk Face Mask (Oily Skin)
– 2 Teaspoons Milk
– 2 – 3 Drops Lavender / Sandalwood Oil
– 1 Cotton Ball
Mix milk with your preferred oil, and apply the solution after washing your face thoroughly. Using the cotton ball dipped into the milk solution, gently massage your face and leave the solution on overnight. You may choose to wash it off in the morning, or when the solution is completely dried before you sleep. This mask can be used daily as milk is a natural oil-free cleanser that helps to reduce the accumulation of oil and sebum in the skin.
* Note : If oily skin occurs only in T-zone areas, you may wish to repeat this procedure on T-zone areas 2 or 3 times a day.
Till next time, cheers to smooth, glowing skin that our sheets will envy!
