At least 10 schoolgirls sustained injuries as Indian troops opened fire along the Line of Control (LoC), a day after two women were shot dead in Sialkot’s Chaprar sector.
India forces targeted the Chahi Samahni sector, injuring the girls, one of whom is stated to be in critical condition, Express News reported on Friday.
The critically injured girl, identified as Chaman, a student of grade 5, has been admitted to the district headquarters hospital in Bhimber.
On Thursday, two women were shot dead and five people were injured in cross-border firing along the working boundary.
Earlier on Friday, Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian troops.
