MUZAFFARABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering political, moral, and diplomatic support for the Kashmiris until their right to self-determination, as guaranteed by pertinent UN resolutions, is realized. Sharif also strongly condemned the Indian army on Wednesday for its ongoing brutality and oppression in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
PM Shehbaz commended Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir for his unwavering dedication to the Kashmir cause while speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the first Daanish School Science and Technology Centre of Excellence in Bhimber, the southernmost district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
He declared his belief that the occupied land would eventually experience freedom and that the sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people would not be in vain.
The prime minister emphasized the difficulties that the people of occupied Kashmir face and the value of education as a means of achieving empowerment.

“Those who are fighting for their freedom in occupied Kashmir will also be happy to know that their Kashmiri brothers are getting good education here [in AJK],” he said.
The premier said that his government had successfully tackled major domestic concerns by working together to avoid bankruptcy.
He claimed that while exports and remittances had been trending upward, government actions had resulted in a drop in inflation and interest rates. He noted that $20 billion had been set aside by the World Bank for a number of development initiatives in Pakistan.
He emphasized that eliminating political instability and terrorism, which cost the country Rs190 billion in losses every day, were essential to Pakistan’s development and prosperity. He pledged that those plotting against Pakistan would fail and praised the security services’ sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
Originally intended for bright and gifted kids from underprivileged homes in isolated parts of Punjab, he called the founding of Daanish Schools in AJK a historic turning point.
In order to provide separate, top-notch facilities for boys and girls, he announced intentions to extend the network of these schools to other parts of AJK, including Neelum and Poonch.
He said that the federal government will provide full funding for these establishments and instructed the authorities to put the schools into operation within a year.
The efforts of the chief ministers of Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan to enhance healthcare and education were acknowledged by PM Shehbaz. Additionally, he alluded to the creation of Daanish schools in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, the prime minister of AJK, had earlier thanked Shehbaz Sharif for what he described as a “transformational initiative” in Bhimber.
He reaffirmed Kashmiris’ resolve to oppose Indian state terrorism and upheld the long-standing bond between the people of Pakistan and AJK, which is based on mutual support and a shared faith.
He charged that India was employing misinformation to divert attention away from its abuses of human rights in the occupied valley.
The event was also addressed by federal ministers Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Amir Muqam. PM Shehbaz shook hands with each of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders and gave them a heartfelt greeting on the occasion.
