US State Department has said that “Pakistan’s own security and stability is tied with successful outcome in Afghanistan”.
Addressing a daily briefing, State Department spokesperson said Pakistan is an important partner in supporting a secure and stable Afghanistan.
When asked to comment on the weekend visit by Sartaj Aziz, Special Advisor to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the spokesperson said Washington viewed any steps contributing to building Pakistan-Afghanistan relations as “very important”.
“We are aware of course that Pakistan’s advisor to the prime minister on national security and foreign affairs Mr. Aziz visited Afghanistan this past weekend, said the spokesperson, adding that Pakistan is an important partner in supporting a secure and stable Afghanistan, which is vital to the security of the region”.
America will continue to blackmail Pakistan until they fully exit from Afghanistan in 2014. Afterwards, America will forget about Pakistan and possibly, look for avenues to take revenge on Pakistan as a payback. Pakistan… beware.
