KHYBER/QUETTA: The military’s media wing reported on Thursday that four terrorists, including a “commander,” had been killed during an operation in the Khyber province.
Security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Bagh region in response to the reported presence of terrorists, according to a statement released by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the statement, four terrorists were shot dead by forces that confronted them at their hiding place. Three people were wounded and their ringleader, Batoor, was slain.
It stated that a sanitization effort was underway to get rid of any further terrorists in the region.
Explosion of Turbat
Separately, authorities reported that an explosion in Turbat’s Absar neighborhood killed a security guard and wounded two more.
While the bomb disposal squad crew was clearing the area of landmines, an improvised explosive device detonated.
After the massive explosion, unknown attackers opened fire.
The wounded and martyred officer were taken to the district hospital in Turbat. Shams and Amanullah were among the injured, and Shahid Ramzan was named as the deceased.
In a another incident, armed men shot at a barbershop in Gwadar’s Door Ghati neighborhood.
Although the shop’s window panes were broken by the gunfire, the owner and other patrons were unharmed.
