QUETTA: Three officers have been suspended by Director General Abdul Ghaffar Magsi of the Balochistan Levies Force for abusing their power and torturing a Mastung resident.
Following the event, the director general launched an investigation and suspended Nasrullah, Manzoor Ahmed, and Inayatullah, the Levies officials.
Inayatullah Kasi, director of operations for Levies, has been assigned the responsibility of looking into the situation. A video of Levies employees attacking a Mastung resident went viral on social media, drawing attention to the issue.
After another video went viral, the director general of Levies also took action. near the footage, a driver at the Gurdang Levies checkpoint near Chaman was seen offering a bribe to a Levies official.
Mr. Magsi got in touch with Chaman Deputy Commissioner Habib Ahmad Bangulzai right away, sent him a report, and ordered the concerned person to be fired.
Mohammad Idris, a Levies official, was consequently suspended. The assistant commissioner was appointed by the deputy commissioner to look into the situation and provide a report in two days.
