MIRPUR (AJK), (Parliament Times) : A Police official of Dadayal AJK police has been arrested for allegedly taking illicit money of Rs 10,000 from a citizen for issuing character certificate, police said.
Dadayal police station has registered case against the
accused Police official Sultan Ali posted at Dadayal Khidmat Markaz for taking Rs 10,000 from a person namely Saqlain for issuing the character certificate.
On the complaint, Senior Superintendent of Police Mirpur Khawar Ali Shaukat ordered SHO Dadyal to hold an immediate inquiry into fhe complaint.
On the basis of the inquiry, the police officer was found guilty and was later immediately arrested, police sources told APP here Monday evening. Case has been registered against the accused and further investigations are in progress, according to the Dadayal policy
The SSP Mirpur Khawar Ali Shaukat, has, meanwhile, established a complaint cell to improve the accountability and transparency system in the district police department, where citizens can file complaints regarding any irregularity or corruption on the part of the police in the district, the sources said.
